Product Safety Commission Does Studies Yearly

The Consumer Product Safety Division is typically part of a government agency or organization that is responsible for ensuring the safety of consumer products.

Here is a summary of USA garage door injuries using CPSC data.  There were 298 actual cases in the sample and the CPSC ratio was applied to estimate the annual total injuries nationwide for one year.

The total number of injuries in the USA for one year was estimated at 13,325.  Nevada is about 1% of the USA population, so this converts to 1,333 injuries in Nevada or an average of 3-4 hospital cases per day.
