Sometimes we are called to clean up a competitor’s job. There were over a dozen electrical code violations on this job when we arrived. According to the National Electrical Code, all wiring must be done in a way that protects insulation from being damaged by vibration against the sharp edges of the angle iron hangers. Wiring must be properly secured to prevent movement. Wiring must be shortened to the correct length and not wound up because that creates induction fields. Wiring fasteners must be secured.
